The production quality is not the highest it could be, but that occurs to many mixtapes when coming out through independent rap. There are a few flaws when it comes to the tape.
Coglitore has some of his best bars on the track including “I see you with the Bucks hat/ But where the bucks at?/ Kid, you don’t touch that.” The song carries the grit of a diss track because of the harshness of the lyrics and the constant insults on the track. It comes across as slow and pixelated with some glitches in between. The beat is reminiscent to the music from a video game. “Kitty” is one of the stronger showings from Coglitore. C-Trox and Indy both have great performances in their features on the track and help strengthen the track. The beat is atmospheric with little twinkles in between the syths. “It’s All Good” is the first song on the mixtape and serves as a great lead to start off the project. Coming in at six songs, the project is shorter than Collection of Thoughts, which has 15 songs. The release of his new mixtape Nice Guys Finish Last is an extension of that same tactic to continue his climb in independent rap.
With his release of his mixtape Collection of Thoughts last year, it was a means of getting his name out in independent rap and to build a fan base. Kyle Coglitore is making noise within the independent rap circuit.
